Tir Yimyim, a Dimapur based Ao-Naga Vernacular daily completed 6 years of its publication on 8th of Oct 2009. This daily is widely read not only by Aos but also a large section of other Naga tribe who are fluent in Ao language. With the successful completion of 6 years publication, this daily paper emerged as the only eight pages RNI registered amongst the vernacular papers so far in Nagaland".

As the daily entered the 7th year of its publication, the Editor and staff of the Tir Yimyim thank its readers, media friends and well wishers for their unflinching support and encouragement throughout the years and assured subsequent improvement day by day. The daily also sought continuous support and cooperation from all concerned to make the paper a platform where "we share news and views locally and act globally."

Following the successful completion of 6th years of publication, the daily Ao – Vernacular daily, Tir Yimyim, is virtually going global from Monday the 6th of November 2006 with the launching of its website, www.tiryimyim.com.

A path breaker in its own right from amongst all the vernacular dailies in the state, Tir Yimyim holds the distinction of being the first and only RNI registered and the only 8 page vernacular daily in the state of Nagaland. With the launching of its online service, it is also become the first vernacular daily with a website.
